Our History

17th Century

The St Agnes Hotel was originally established by a local mining company to provide “comforts” for their workforce, including beer brewed on-site.

Early 1800s

The pub undergoes its first name change, becoming the King’s Arms.

Mid 1800s

The hotel is renamed to the Commercial Hotel.

Late 1800s

The name changes again to Paull’s Hotel

1930

The hotel is officially named the St Agnes Hotel, a name it still holds today.

Present Day

Known locally as The Aggie, the hotel is a family-run, pet-friendly establishment, continuing to serve as a welcoming spot in the heart of St Agnes.
