17th Century
The St Agnes Hotel was originally established by a local mining company to provide “comforts” for their workforce, including beer brewed on-site.
Early 1800s
The pub undergoes its first name change, becoming the King’s Arms.
Mid 1800s
The hotel is renamed to the Commercial Hotel.
Late 1800s
The name changes again to Paull’s Hotel
1930
The hotel is officially named the St Agnes Hotel, a name it still holds today.
Present Day
Known locally as The Aggie, the hotel is a family-run, pet-friendly establishment, continuing to serve as a welcoming spot in the heart of St Agnes.
